Know More
A globally respected watch and lifestyle magazine, Revolution launched its Middle East edition in 2012. I worked on 8–10 issues between 2012 and 2014 as Creative Designer at Pinpoint Media Group, handling the design, layout, ad management, and print production of each edition.
Inside Editorial Process
From 2012 to 2014, I served as Creative Designer for Revolution Magazine at Pinpoint Media Group, overseeing the Middle East edition of this globally recognized horology title. Much of the editorial content came from the Singapore headquarters, while we developed localized features for the regional market. I collaborated closely with Creative Director Karl Ibrahim and fellow designers Phil Madge and Jamal Siddiq. Editorial leadership came from Jola Chudy (Editor-in-Chief) and Sandra Lane (Editor – Luxury), with ad assets provided by Sandra Yeghiazarian and Richard Agyemang. Each edition required seamless coordination from layout design to pre-press checks. I reviewed both hard and soft proofs personally before giving the final print approval.

Layout Discipline
Layout Discipline
Revolution demanded design precision to match the legacy of the watch brands it featured. I balanced inherited layouts from Singapore with original Middle Eastern pages, maintaining the magazine’s refined grid, classic typography, and clean visual tone.
I worked on showcasing brands like Rolex, Montblanc, Breguet, Chanel, Patek Philippe, Chopard, Ulysse Nardin, Richard Mille, Bovet, A. Lange & Söhne, Van Cleef & Arpels, Jaquet Droz, Glashütte Original, Frederique Constant Genève, DelaCour Genève, Bell & Ross, Jacob & Co, Tudor, Romain Jerome, Franc Vila, Rado Switzerland, and more. Every spread was crafted for elegance and consistency, tailored to a high-end audience that expects both detail and distinction.

Production Workflow
Production Workflow
My design toolkit included Adobe InDesign for layouts, Adobe Photoshop for photo retouching and resizing, Adobe Illustrator for editorial graphics, and Adobe Bridge for ad file management.
Ad placements came directly from Richard Agyemang, and I meticulously checked each file for print readiness, reviewing resolution, bleed, and brand alignment. Once layouts were complete, I handled all final file packaging and coordinated with the printer. I verified the hard proof for color accuracy, paper quality, and image alignment, followed by a soft proof review for digital consistency. Only after full sign-off did I give the print approval, ensuring every issue met international luxury publishing standards.

Luxury Placement
Luxury Placement
Revolution Magazine wasn’t mass-market; it was curated for collectors, connoisseurs, and luxury buyers. Each edition was distributed in premium locations across the Middle East. From luxury watch boutiques and first-class airport lounges to high-end events and five-star hotels.
My work wasn’t just visual; it was about delivering a collectible product that reflected the excellence of the brands it represented. Every issue was treated like a statement piece, designed for timeless relevance and an elite readership.
