Fresh grocery delivery meets a scalable UI design system in Figma for fast, intuitive customer journeys across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

I designed the complete Spinneys grocery delivery app UI system, transitioning from Adobe XD to Figma. This encompassed core app screens, typography, iconography, and a fresh, mobile-first digital color language, all supporting fast ordering, scheduled deliveries, and brand clarity.
Figma-Based UI Library
I created a reusable, modular interface design in Figma, ensuring speed, structure, and brand-consistent expansion for shopping and delivery features. The entire UI leveraged reusable components—from spacing grids to status bars and icons—all aligned to a scalable design system for future growth. GT America typography was chosen for its balance of clarity and personality. I also developed reusable button states, text styles, dropdowns, overlays, and navigation bars for all screen types.
Color Strategy and Digital Tone
Color Strategy and Digital Tone
Strategic color direction reflects freshness, accessibility, and user comfort across all shopping modes and lighting conditions.
I developed a three-tier color palette (primary, secondary, neutral), with each color strategically chosen for specific roles like action buttons, visual balance, and text visibility. HEX values were finalized using accessibility tools to ensure high-contrast digital standards, and color overlays and highlights were tested in both light and dark UI modes for consistent clarity.

My work optimized design elements for fast screen building, high consistency, and seamless real-time collaboration with developers and marketers.
We built buttons, tab bars, social login modules, and cart states as scalable components. This modular system enabled developers and designers to rapidly update or duplicate screens while maintaining design integrity. It also ensured consistent UI flow for features like 60-minute delivery, deli sections, and petcare Browse. All components adhered to atomic design principles for future scalability and localization.

Aligned with Spinneys' brand message of fresh, premium, and fast, the app interface facilitated quick action, clear navigation, and a seamless end-to-end experience for all users in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. From fresh produce to weekend meal planning, the user journey was meticulously mapped to real-world grocery needs, including rush-hour and scheduled deliveries.
